Student Engagement
Working Through Bloom's Taxonomy
Students who work through Bloom's Taxonomy develop greater understanding of content. Adding to the challenge of tasks also increases their variation and develops students' internal locus of control. In other words, varying tasks with goals in mind makes learning more interesting and fun!
Schedule
Creating a daily schedule provides consistency so students can relax and dive into learning. Having a schedule also allows me to differentiate instruction while creating opportunities for students to experience a balance in activities which challenge them and maintain their interest.
Sample Weekly Schedule, with plans for students who leave for resource instruction.
Brain Breaks
Transition activities help students release excess nervous energy and practice successful, fun transitions between activities and lessons.
Here are some breaks I used during my student teaching assignment.
